Six Word Memoirs

Jenell at the Paris Project posted this idea. It's an interesting exercise to make concise and accurate statements -- about anything, much less about your life. Here are a few of mine:

Texas Born, Then Virginia, Now Kentucky

Marriage And Motherhood – Not For Wimps

Temperance – Not Just Against Alcohol Anymore

What are some of yours?

I've decided to do WHAT???

OK, folks, I've gone and done it -- I've committed to running a half-marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. (Running, jogging, running/walking, whatever!) I'm training with Team in Training, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and money for research on blood cancers. Along with training for the 13.1-mile run, I've also committed to raising $3000 before the race. And this is where you come in! I need your help to make this happen - your support, your prayers, and your donations. Please donate -- as little as $2 per mile ($26). I have a website that describes a bit about the race, as well as tracks my donations. Please visit this site and consider supporting this important research. I've also set up a new blog to chronicle my progress, both in training and in fundraising. Stay tuned for more updates! And thanks for helping! Hey -- I'm doing the running, all you have to do is press a few keys! You can do it!!

Once again...

I'm running a half-marathon on April 26th -- the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini-Marathon.

You can follow my progress on my new training blog.

I need your help to raise $3000 for leukemia and lymphoma research.

You can donate by visiting my website here and donating. Or you can send me a check, payable to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Thank you!
